Reel Time mini Adventure

Reel Time entertained 42 mini enthusiasts on the 29th April 2011 at Marlins Wynd restaurant in Edinburgh. They had been touring around Scotland in their classic Minis, and were looking for a Real Scottish Experience as a grand finale. The group were met at their hotel by the Pipe Major. We were up at the Old Course Hotel on Tuesday for a fantastic event run by Visit Scotland for their Scotland Means Business workshop. 150 companies from all over the world converged on Fairmont Hotel for face to face meetings, networking and of course a VIP Scottish themed gala dinner (held down the road at the Old Course) Roddy Deans was comparing the event, introducing Bagpipers, celtic dancers and of course the energetic Reel Time Ceilidh Band. Reel Time Ceilidh Band and Roddy the Piper were delighted to be invited to play at this year’s Visit Scotland Business Tourism unit Gala Dinner at Brigadoon. Invited were 150 event organisers, hotel managers, DMC companies and tour operators. The band played a 30 minute set after dinner which got guests arm in arm. Reel Time Events got asked for an X factor style kilt dressing session to form a part of a mini indoor highland games. The clients wanted some fun and interactive challenges that teams could compete in to collect the prizes. McEwan hall, 230 guests enjoyed a Whisky tasting experience in one of Edinburgh University’s most stunning buildings as part of their social program for their conference. We brought in a couple of our friends from Mellis cheesemonger, who served up a great selection of Scottish cheeses. Helping us to promote responsible drinking.
