If you are looking for ideas for some entertainment for your guests, why not have some hands on cultural workshops. We create many different workshop activities to involve your guests, including; Bagpipe, sporran making, highland dancing, whisky tasting, Scottish cuisine.
Our Pipe Major will talk guests through the intricate workings of Scotland National instrument. The talk will look at: how the bagpipes work, how the reeds are made, a short history of the bagpipes and a recital. If guests are keen to try for themselves, there will be the opportunity for them to blow a second set of bagpipes. If required, we can dress one member of the party up in a kilt.
We work with the men (and women) behind sporran making for the last 4 generations. They will show you how the mighty purse of Scotland is made and we can even help you craft your own wee Scottish bag.
We work with old Mrs Macleod from Fife, who has been selecting and preparing the finest in Scottish produce for the laird she works for. Mrs Macleod hosts a Reel Time workshop with some of the traditional fayre of our great land. Including Haggis, oatcakes, Irn Bru (Scotlands other national drink!), Home-baked Scottish Shortbread. She has even been known to have a few drams for guests as they are at her stall.
Give us 20 minutes and our highland dancers can teach your guests how to perform a couple of steps from the Highland Fling. Guaranteed to give guests a giggle. We can also teach guests team dances (ceilidh style) such as the Dashing White Sergeant or Gay Gordons. Our dancers can come in highland dress or national costume. We use both female and male highland dancers.
We can arrange a stall for guests to come and sample some of the finest of scotch whisky. We will give guests an understanding of how the great spirit of Scotland is made while they are sampling three or four different malts.
