The Scottish small pipes are a beautiful bellows blown instrument, similar to Northumbrian pipes. Their sound is made for chamber playing, as a background sound rather than their louder highland cousins. So they are suited well to give a Scottish atmosphere for drinks receptions and intimate dinners.
Sometimes for larger groups, the pipes are played through a PA system and duets with accordion or guitarist can be arranged to provide a great swing to your events music.
